Autonomous Universities to Consider New Applicants; Prospective Students May Apply By 17 May

Given the global disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there may be prospective Singaporean undergraduates who were planning to study overseas, but now prefer to study locally. To support these students, all the Autonomous Universities (AUs), including the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), will now consider applicants on a case-by-case basis, outside of the official application window.

Interested applicants can refer to https://www.singaporetech.edu.sg/applying-to-SIT/admissions-overview for more information and write directly to Adm@SingaporeTech.edu.sg by 17 May 2020. SIT will assess the merit of each applicant and continue to ensure that admissions are based on open competition among eligible candidates.

Students who are midway through their studies at overseas universities and are unable to continue with their studies during this period or wish to pursue other forms of learning in the meantime may consider enrolling in Continuing Education and Training (CET) modular courses offered by SITLEARN, the lifelong learning division of SIT. Interested applicants can visit www.sitlearn.edu.sg or write to SITLEARN@SingaporeTech.edu.sg for more information. However, there is no guarantee of credit recognition by their home universities.

SIT’s Academic Year 2020/2021 remains unchanged and will start in September 2020 as planned. For more information on SIT’s Academic Calendar, please visit: https://www.singaporetech.edu.sg/students/academic-calendar/singapore-institute-technology.
