Institutional Biosafety Committee

The Institutional Biosafety Committee’s (IBC) primary role is to assess and review the use of biological materials for activities conducted by the University.

It supports the University to comply with legislation and guidelines, such as the Biological Agents and Toxins Act (BATA) and the Singapore Biosafety Guidelines for Research on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).

The IBC in SIT is supported by the Safety & Health Division which administers the SIT’s Biosafety Guidelines.
