Technology Transfer Office
The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at our university of applied research serves as a vital bridge between academia and industry. We facilitate the transfer of innovative technologies developed by our researchers, enabling enterprises to accelerate their innovation journeys. In addition to supporting collaborative partnerships, TTO manages the university’s intellectual property (IP) portfolio—curating licensable technologies and overseeing their adoption to ensure impactful real-world applications.
Licensable Technology Offers
If you are interested in any of the technology offers below, please contact us at techtransfer@singaporetech.edu.sg.
Tech Offer 1 - CONVAS (3D) 2D-to-3D Image Conversion Software for Autostereoscopic 3D Display
Autostereoscopic or glass-free 3D displays allow users to view 3D content on electronic displays without wearing any 3D viewing glasses. We have developed CONVAS (3D), an AI-empowered cloud solution that can automatically convert a 2D image into a 3D image suitable for viewing on a target autostereoscopic 3D display.
Tech Offer 2 – ViCollAR – 3D Data Visualization using Collaborative Augmented Reality
ViCollAR allows complex data to be visualised in 3D format, enabling multiple users to simultaneously and collaboratively visualise and interact with 3-D data using their hand gestures in 3D space. This allows the users to freely navigate through the real environment during interactions. It also allows the users to configure the types of visualisation forms easily and efficiently for the target datasets and to populate the mixed environment with user-customized 3D virtual objects.
Tech Offer 3 – Plant-based Seafood Analogue with Improved Texture
This sustainable food innovation relates to a plant-based seafood analogue designed to achieve a surimi-like texture in plant-based seafood products. Preliminary consumer evaluations indicated that plant-based seafood products such as fish cakes formulated with the plant-based seafood analogue shows promise and can match the springiness of commercial surimi-tofu fish cake. Notably, the plant-based seafood analogue is an alternative protein solution for plant-based seafood products and can be applied as a plant-based technology to improve texture in various commercially available processed food products, thereby reducing demand on surimi.
Tech Offer 4 - High-speed Imaging, Particle Imaging and Particle Tracking Velocimetry, and Wind Tunnel Experimental Techniques Know-How
This technology package introduces a suite of experimental techniques for advanced fluid flow visualisation and measurement capabilities using high-speed imaging, Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV), and wind tunnel experimentation to deliver precise analysis of fluid dynamics for diverse applications. This suite enables detailed capture and quantification of flow behaviours—supporting innovations in windbreak design, disease transmission mitigation, and membrane anti-fouling strategies. Experimental validation proved these techniques offer unique value for industries seeking deeper insights into fluid behaviour and can be integrated with computational modelling for enhanced scalability and optimisation.
Tech Offer 5 – Use of Interactive, Gamified and Immersive Videos for Auditing Education and Training
An innovative digital solution for auditing education: a suite of interactive, gamified, and immersive video modules designed to transform how auditing is taught and learned. This technology features branching scenarios, 360-degree videos, and engaging activities such as data analysis spreadsheets, quizzes, and drag-and-drop exercises, all set within realistic auditing contexts. The platform bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enhancing engagement and workplace readiness for auditing professionals and students. While currently tailored for auditing and corporate training, the technology is ready for further validation, content expansion, and industry partnerships to realise its full commercial potential.
