A team of three SIT undergraduates and one research engineer have clinched an Excellence Award in the 2025 International Innovation Competition on Structural Health Monitoring for Railway Systems, outperforming postgraduate and PhD-level teams worldwide.
Final-year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate Shane Lim Ruiyuan became the first Singaporean in almost 20 years to win a Best Student Award from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
