JCS-Echigo Study Grant

The JCS-Echigo Study Grant was established to support financially disadvantaged but worthy undergraduates at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), so as to ensure that they can make the most of a quality university education without financial worries.  

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • First-year students or past recipients being considered for re-award, who are pursuing the full-time Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (Land) programme.
  • All nationalities.
  • Achieved good academic results.
  • Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of less than or equal to S$1,000.

Tenure and Benefits of the Study grant:

  • Each study grant is valued at S$5,000 and is tenable for one Academic Year.

  • The study grant will be used to fund the recipient’s education expenses.

  • Recipient of this study grant may hold another study grant concurrently.

  • No bond is required of the recipient.

About the Donor

This Study Grant has been made possible with a gift from JCS-Echigo Pte Ltd, a Singapore precision engineering SME specialising in the design and manufacture of precision cleaning systems, primarily in the hard disk drive industry.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students are to submit their Financial Aid application via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT. Do note that students are to connect to the SIT VPN before accessing IN4SIT. 

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form and upload all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline.
