Foo Kon Tan Scholarship

The Foo Kon Tan Scholarship was established to support deserving students pursuing a full-time Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours degree at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicable to students pursuing a full-time Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours degree offered by the Institute.
  • Are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
  • Have achieved outstanding academic results.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a household Per Capita Income (PCI) that satisfies the Institute's criteria for financial assistance.

Tenure and Benefits of Scholarship

  • The Scholarship, valued at S$7,500, is applicable for one academic year.
  • The Scholarship shall be used for the Recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for any overseas immersion programmes conducted by the Institute, and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
  • Recipients may be offered an Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) opportunity with the Donor.
  • Recipients may hold other scholarship(s) concurrently.

The Scholarship has been made possible with a gift from Foo Kon Tan LLP, one of Singapore’s most established and respected accountancy practices. Founded in 1968, the firm provides holistic one-stop business and advisory solutions to discerning clients, encompassing a full range of assurance, tax and advisory services to help clients navigate the ever changing dynamics of the business and regulatory environments in the domestic as well as global markets.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
