Operations Management in Aviation

This module introduces the fundamentals of operational management and its applications to the civil aviation sector.  Students will learn to achieve a higher level of productivity and better service quality in an efficient and cost-effective way.  The major areas covered in this module include productivity and process analysis and selection strategy; managing capacity and matching with demand; scheduling operations; facility location, layout and waiting lines; managing service quality in operations planning; and lean vs agile strategies.
