Lean Workshop: A3 Thinking and Problem-Solving in Healthcare

COURSE SYNOPSIS

When faced with problems in the workplace, we often attempt to solve them by adopting ready-made solutions or solutions that have been proven to work for other organisations. Although these solutions may seem to work at first, they usually address the problem superficially and the real root causes remain unaddressed. This results in the same problems resurfacing down the road. In this 1-day workshop, learn how to apply A3 thinking as an integral part of day-to-day work, using it both as a problem-solving tool and a management process.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  1. UNDERSTAND the key concepts of Lean Healthcare
  2. LEARN the A3 thinking methodology
  3. APPLY the Lean problem-solving approach in a simulation
  4. EXAMINE case studies in healthcare
  5. IDENTIFY areas in your workplace to apply the concepts

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Clinicians, leaders, staff involved in operations, improvements or patient care.
