We are seeking an Associate Faculty (i.e. Part-Time Teacher) to teach psychological concepts applied to the healthcare sector on various modules on the health sciences programmes.

The Part-Time Teacher will be involved in teaching allied health students about psychological concepts and applications to both the experimental and the clinical settings, enriching their skillset as health professionals and researchers. Content will encompass the central psychological domains: biological, behavioural, cognitive, personality, emotions, and mental health; counselling and health psychology; psychology of eating and eating disorders.

Modules are designed to foster critical thinking. Applied learning activities include viewing recorded lectures, reading textbooks, accessing e-materials and participating in synchronous seminars.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Psychology or related.

  • Experience in teaching.

  • Work well in a team.

  • Able to conduct classes scheduled during working hours (0830-1800).

  • Assist in grading and student consultation.

The Centre for Digital Enablement drives the digital transformation initiatives within Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). It works with various stakeholders, both internal and external, in upskilling digital literacy across the organization through literacy programmes and digital innovation projects in relation to the living lab. 

The Centre for Digital Enablement invites application for Part-Time Teacher positions. 

Successful candidates are expected to teach and /or develop content for one or more in the following areas under Digital Competencies Essentials (DiCE) asynchronous module and Digital Skills & IT Enrichment (dSiTe) Framework related micromodules. It also includes the setting of assessments and assessment marking. 

About dSiTE & DiCE 

Digital Skills & IT Enrichment Framework (dSiTE): 
A set of digital competencies, comprising of generic and technical digital competencies that aims to provide a reference guide to SIT students and staff in their development of digital skills. 

Digital Competency Essentials (DiCE): 
DiCE (Digital Competency Essentials) is a module comprising of 14 micromodules that focuses on  essential digital competencies such as Digital Information & Literacy, Digital data literacy and problem solving, Digital Learning & Adoption, Digital Well-Being & Ethics and Digital Creation & Solutioning.
