Temasek Foundation Sunburst Scholarship

The Temasek Foundation Sunburst Scholarship was established to nurture and recognise talented students pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility and Selection Criteria:

  • Applicable to students who are pursuing any of the full-time undergraduate degree programme offered by the Institute.
  • Are Singapore Citizens.
  • Year 1 or Year 2 undergraduates (if they are receiving the Scholarship for the first time).
  • Have achieve good academic results or have a good record of co-curricular activities as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine.
  • Have a good record of community service as determined by the Institute in its sole discretion.
  • Recipients will be encouraged to fulfil 60 hours of community service and/or participate in 3 sustainability/community projects/programmes including one Temasek Foundation-supported youth programme throughout their entire course of studies. 

Benefits and Obligation of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship is valued at $14,000 per annum.
  • The Scholarship shall be used for the recipients’ educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for any overseas immersion programmes conducted by the Institute, and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
  • The Scholarship is tenable for the entire course of studies, provided that recipients continue to meet the eligibility and selection criteria stated above, with the recommendation of the Institute and the Selection Committee. 
  • Recipients will be encouraged to join the Temasek Foundation Youth Alumni Network.
  • Recipients of this Scholarship may not accept other scholarship(s) concurrently.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
