Select Group Scholarship

The Select Group Scholarship was established to support financially disadvantaged and deserving students pursuing a Food Technology degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). 

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Applicable to students who are pursuing a full-time undergraduate Food Technology degree programme offered by the Institute.
  • Singapore Citizens.
  • Have achieved outstanding academic results as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a Household Per Capita Income (PCI) less than or equal to $1,500.

Benefits and Obligation of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship, valued at $10,000, is applicable for one (1) academic year.
  • The Scholarship shall be used for the recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, or expenses for study trips organised by the Institute.
  • Recipients are strongly encouraged to complete their Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) with the Donor, if the IWSP is applicable in the same Academic Year of the scholarship award.
  • Recipients of this Scholarship may accept other scholarship(s) concurrently.

About the Donor

The Scholarship has been made possible with a gift from Select Group Pte Ltd, a leading food service provider which has a substantial brand presence in events and institutional catering, as well as Chinese dining, food retail, fast food and themed food courts in Singapore.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
