Rotary Club of Tanglin & Alvin Goh Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Tanglin & Alvin Goh Scholarship was established to support financially disadvantaged but deserving students pursuing selected full-time undergraduate degree programmes at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Undergraduates pursuing a full-time degree programme offered by the Institute with preference given to students pursuing the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Speech and Language Therapy degree programme. 

  • Are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents. 

  • Have achieved outstanding academic results and demonstrated leadership qualities. 

  • Have made significant contributions beyond academic studies to the Institute or the community. 

  • Preference will be given to applicants with Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of no more than $1,725.

Benefits and Obligation of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship is valued at $5,700 and is tenable for one Academic Year. 

  • The Scholarship shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for study trips and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute. 

  • Recipients who have already been awarded the Scholarship for one year of study may apply to receive and be considered for the Scholarship(s) in subsequent year(s), subject to the fulfilment of the selection criteria and the selection by the Selection Committee. 

  • Recipients of this Scholarship may accept other scholarship(s) concurrently.

About the Donor

The Scholarship is made possible by a gift from the members of the Rotary Club of Tanglin, Singapore, together with Mr Alvin Goh, the Club’s Immediate Past President (Rotary Year 2020/21).

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
