Peter Lim Scholarship

The Peter Lim Scholarship was established to support deserving students pursuing full-time undergraduate degree programmes at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Full-time undergraduates pursuing any undergraduate degree programme at the Institute.

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.

  • Have achieved good academic results.  

  • Have a monthly household Per Capita Income (PCI) of $1,000 or less.

  • Preferably have come through the ITE-Polytechnic route.  

Benefits and Obligation of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship, valued at $12,500, is applicable for one (1) academic year.

  • The Scholarship shall be used for the recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, or expenses related to approved regional study trips or global study trips organised by the Institute.

  • Recipients of this Scholarship may continue to receive this scholarship in a subsequent year of study, subject to the fulfilment of the criteria above, and with the recommendation of the Institute and the selection by the Selection Committee.
  • Recipients may not accept other scholarships concurrently.

About the Donor

The Scholarship is made possible by a gift from Mr Peter Lim, who hopes to enable talented and purpose-driven individuals to pursue their goals and passion for learning. The Peter Lim Scholarship is established to empower students to pursue a university education, regardless of their background or financial means.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
