Mr & Mrs Ko Seng Gie Scholarship

The Mr & Mrs Ko Seng Gie Scholarship was established to support financially disadvantaged students and recognise deserving students who have achieved outstanding academic results while pursuing their undergraduate studies at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree programme offered by the Institute.
  • Singapore Citizens.
  • Have achieved outstanding academic results as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine.
  • Have good character record.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a Household Per Capita Income (PCI) less than or equal to $1,000.

Benefits and Obligation of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship, valued at $7,500, is applicable for one (1) academic year.
  • The Scholarship shall be used for the recipients' educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, or expenses related to approved regional as well as global study trips organised by the Institute.
  • Recipients of this Scholarship may accept other scholarship(s) concurrently.

About the Donor

The Scholarship is made possible by a gift from Mr Ko Oen Tjiang in honour of his late parents, Mr & Mrs Ko Seng Gie, and also with the hope that the award will have a positive impact on aspiring students from lower-income backgrounds.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
