EnGro Scholarship

The EnGro Scholarship was established to support financially disadvantaged and deserving undergraduates pursuing any one of the selected full-time Undergraduate Program offered by Singapore Institute of Technology

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Full-time students pursuing either of the following degree programmes offered by the Institute:
    • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Specialisation in Sustainable Building Technology)
    • BEng (Hons) Sustainable Built Environment
    • BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering
    • BEng (Hons) Chemical Engineering
    • BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
    • BEng (Hons) Mechatronics Systems
    • BSc (Hons) Applied Computing
    • BSc (Hons) Computing Engineering
    • BSc (Hons) Computing Science
  • Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents;
  • Students who have achieved outstanding academic results as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine;
  • Students who have good character record as the Institute may in its sole discretion determine; and
  • Preference will be given to applicants with financial need.

Benefits and Obligation of Scholarship

  • Each Scholarship is valued at $12,000 and is tenable for one academic year.
  • At least 50% of the Scholarship’s value shall be used for the Recipients’ annual tuition fees. The remaining value of the Scholarship shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for overseas immersion programme conducted by the Institute, and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
  • Recipients who have already been awarded the Scholarship for one year of study may apply to receive and be considered for the Scholarship in a subsequent year(s) of study, subject to the fulfilment of the above selection criteria, with the recommendation of the Institute and the selection by the Selection Committee.
  • The Donor may, in consultation with the Institute, assist the recipients of the Scholarship in securing an Integrated Work Study Programme (ISWP) opportunity with the Donor, if ISWP is applicable for the student in that year.
  • Recipients of this Bursary may not accept other bursaries, scholarship, grants or awards concurrently.

How To Apply

Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

Matriculated students may access the online application form via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT.

Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline. Scholarship applicants are expected to upload an endorsed Letter of Recommendation and their SIT Record of Achievement (where applicable).
