About the Donor
The Roger Chia Bursary is made possible through the generosity of Mr Roger Chia Kim Piow — Founder and Chairman of the Rotary Group. Mr Chia began his journey in 1972 when he founded Rotary Electrical, building it from the ground up through hard work, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. Over the years, he grew the business from an electrical sub-contractor into a multinational Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) group, recognised as a leading player in energy storage infrastructure and the petrochemical industry.
Education has the power to transform lives — and it is this belief that lies at the heart of the Roger Chia Bursary. Established to uplift financially disadvantaged students of promise, Mr Chia hopes to open doors for the next generation of driven individuals through this bursary, empowering them to build meaningful futures and ensuring that financial circumstances do not stand in the way of their aspirations and potential.
