Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore Bursary

The Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore Bursary was established to support financially disadvantaged but deserving undergraduates pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Are pursuing a full-time Chemical Engineering undergraduate degree programme offered by the Institute.
  • Are of any nationality.
  • Have a household per capita income (PCI) of less than or equal to S$1,500.

 Tenure and Benefits of the Bursary:

  • Each Bursary is valued at S$5,000 and is tenable for one academic year.
  • The Bursary shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, expenses for the overseas immersion, and fees for other educational activities organised by the Institute.
  • Recipients of this Bursary may accept another bursary concurrently.
  • No bond is required of the recipient.

About the Donor

This Bursary is made possible by a gift from Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited (PCS), the centre company of the S$5.4 billion Singapore Petrochemical Complex on Jurong Island, the premier hub of Singapore’s petroleum and petrochemical industries. PCS’ operations are fully integrated with the pipeline-customers and leverages on Jurong Island’s excellent infrastructure and facilities. Coupled with Singapore’s strategic location in Southeast Asia, supportive government policies and availability of skilled manpower, PCS is in a prime location for a world-class petrochemical complex.

    How To Apply

    Applications for Public Bursaries, Donated Bursaries & Scholarships will commence in July 2022. Do keep a look out for more information which will be sent to your SIT e-mail address.

    Matriculated students are to submit their Financial Aid application via the SIT Student Intranet - IN4SIT. Do note that students are to connect to the SIT VPN before accessing IN4SIT. 

    Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form and upload all required supporting documents through the application portal by the given deadline.
