In this course, you will learn to examine different aspects of your business and how to apply LEAN methodology to them to achieve business excellence.

Course Overview

LEAN thinking has shown to be an effective improvement methodology over the last few decades to achieve immense results within diverse organisations and businesses. Continuous improvement, one of the main principles of LEAN thinking, encourages the mindset of solving problems and challenges at the workplace continually, thereby increasing the value delivered to customers.

This 4-day programme is designed to help employees learn and apply LEAN tools and techniques. Over a period of 6 weeks, participants will acquire knowledge from classroom training sessions, and be coached on applying these skills to their own LEAN improvement activities at their workplace.

2. Apply the A3 methodology to solve a problem at the workplace
3. Analyse problems for their root causes
4. Formulate a plan with the use of appropriate LEAN tools for improvement

Course Overview

The LEAN Expert course is the second stage of the LEAN training at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), following the LEAN Practitioner (Intermediate) course. Upon completion of the LEAN Expert course, learners will have completed the entire SIT LEAN training.

The LEAN Expert course covers more complex LEAN modules. In addition, participants learn how to lead and propagate the LEAN culture across the organisation.

The course is done over 6 sessions: 2 classroom training session and 4 coaching sessions.

1. Learners will have been trained in the advanced LEAN tools that allow them to address more complex problems in the workplace
2. Learners will be able to lead multi-functional teams and complete LEAN projects that have an impact on a larger part of the organisation

THE LEAN WAY TO ACHIEVE THE PERFECT PROCESS

Work is basically made up of processes. Optimisation of these processes will therefore lead to better work outcomes.

In this course, participants learn to map work processes clearly, spot problematic areas and identify opportunities for improvement.

We will demonstrate how Value Stream Mapping and Swim Lanes can significantly reduce lead times and speed up the delivery of products and services to your customers. A brief session on data analysis is also included in the programme. At the end of the course, participants will be equipped with LEAN skills that can be applied across various industries.
