Introduction to Air Transport Industry

This module will provide students with an overview and structure of the air transport industry internationally and locally. The key players, such as airlines, airports, civil aviation authorities, ground handling agents, will also be introduced to the students while their functions and interdependence will be discussed. The students will also learn about the aviation regulatory environment and it influences on the evolution of the aviation industry.  Different types of air travel markets and airlines, ownerships and physical characteristics of airports will also be covered.
