Accounting for Decision Making and Control
This module equips students with the knowledge and analytical abilities to critically evaluate contemporary accounting issues as well as to understand the challenges facing the accounting profession. Through the exploration of established accounting theories, an insight into the principles and concepts that underpin both accounting practice and regulation will be acquired. Topics include regulation, measurement issues, normative theories, positive accounting theory, systems theories and corporate social responsibility reporting.
Pre-requisite: ACC2007 Corporate Accounting.
