Dr Angelina Tan Senior Manager Lean Transformation Innovation Centre Singapore Institute of Technology Angelina specialises in Lean thinking and practice, and has implemented Lean in various industries, from healthcare and finance to food and education. She is proficient in A3 Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, 5S and Kanban Systems, Visual Management, and Strategy Deployment. Angelina has engaged both SMEs and large organisations. She works closely with the staff, guiding them on their Lean journey to achieve their goals of continuous improvement and efficiency in their workplace. Some key projects include: • Streamlining procurement and finance processes at NTUC Learning Hub and St Luke’s ElderCare • Standard work at an international port group, NTUC Health, and Yishun Community Hospital • Inventory management and Kanban system implementations at Four Seasons’ Catering, St Luke’s Elder Care, and Yishun Community Hospital • Redesigning workflow and eliminating process wastes at Yishun Community Hospital, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital and Four Seasons Group • Reducing patient waiting time for consultations, improving patient flow in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and reducing waiting time for medication at the Pharmacy at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) In addition to her work with SMEs and organisations, Angelina also conducts lean workshops where she teaches lean concepts using hands-on lean simulation games that she has developed. Mr David Leong Senior Manager Lean Transformation Innovation Centre Singapore Institute of Technology Being a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) practitioner and a Certified QMS Lead Auditor for ISO9001, he has many years of experience practising & applying Lean methodologies and other quality improvement tools across different industries. He is now working with the team on facilitating lean training and coaching project works with companies, such as Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH), Ling Kwang Home, Apex Harmony Lodge, O’ Joy Care services and Core Concepts. David conducts training in IAL (Institute of Adult Learning) and runs public workshops and masterclasses. Mr Mark Tan Assistant Director Lean Transformation Innovation Centre Singapore Institute of Technology Mark has helped many SMEs and large organisations in their Lean journey. He led lean transformation projects in various sectors such as manufacturing (Hewlett Packet, TPSC Asia), professional services (Shalom International Movers, ST Electronics (e-Services), Jong Fresh Supplies and 361 Degree Consultancy) and healthcare (NTUC Health Co-operative, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, O’ Joy Care Service, Ling Kwang Home). In addition to his work with SMEs and organisations, Mark contributes articles on innovation and productivity to ASME Entrepreneur Digest and conducts undergraduate training, public and corporate workshops and masterclasses. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma and Black Belt practitioner. Mr Randy Choo Project Director Lean Transformation Innovation Centre Singapore Institute of Technology Randy has been involved in Lean Six Sigma for more than 20 years and he has headed operations excellence initiatives in several companies. He has also held senior positions in several US and European MNCs. As Plant Manager, he managed P&L with a turnover of $30 million. As Regional Director, he managed close to 200 staff in 8 APAC countries from Taiwan to Australia. With his extensive experience in management and Lean Six Sigma, Randy is well-positioned to work with companies to achieve business excellence. Ms Jovena Chua Senior Manager Lean Transformation Innovation Centre Singapore Institute of Technology Jovena is a certified Scrum Master and a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Practitioner. She has led global cross-functional teams in the delivery of business improvement projects through the application of Lean Six Sigma and project management methodologies in the biotechnology and services industries. Examples of Jovena’s Lean Six Sigma experience include projects on organisational excellence initiatives, improving stakeholders’ satisfaction and reducing wait time and streamlining of business process workflow. Jovena specialises in continuous improvement, business process mapping, Voice of Customer and change management.
