Innovation as a Service (IaaS) is your single point of access to an innovation network that brings together expertise, capabilities and resources across SIT and its ecosystem partners. Whether you're a company, organisation or public agency exploring a business challenge, product idea or technology opportunity, IaaS helps connect you to the right support.

Rather than navigating multiple institutions, companies engage through one platform that connects them with applied research expertise, innovation facilities, academic and student talent, and partner capabilities across organisations including A*STAR Research Institutes, IPI Singapore, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), Republic Polytechnic (RP), Singapore Polytechnic (SP), and Temasek Polytechnic (TP). Is IaaS the same as Infrastructure as a Service?
IaaS is a platform that enables organisations to develop, test, and implement new ideas, products, services, and business models without having to build these capabilities in-house. Rather than hiring a dedicated innovation team or establishing an internal innovation lab, organisations can access innovation expertise, tools, and resources at SIT and their partners. This allows organisations to accelerate innovation, reduce costs, and tap into technology and expertise while remaining focused on their core operations.

Is IaaS the same as Design Factory @ SIT?
No. Design Factory is one of the capabilities that may support design-led innovation, workshops, facilitation and prototyping. IaaS is the broader access point to SIT’s applied innovation capabilities across five focus areas.

Can SMEs approach IaaS?
Yes. IaaS is well-suited to local enterprises and SMEs seeking support for product development, digitalisation, sustainability, operational improvement or proof-of-concept work. If you’re not sure where to start, that’s exactly what the first conversation is for.

Does SIT guarantee commercialisation or market access?
