ASTP Scholarship
The Applied Sustainability Talent Programme (ASTP) Scholarship is established to nurture and develop talented individuals who are passionate, high-achieving and application-oriented into catalysts for green transformation.
The scholarship is open to all students pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate shall be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Outstanding academic achievements
- Good Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) record
- Has strong passion commitment in serving community and/or society especially in the area of sustainability
Benefits of Award
The ASTP Scholarship provides the following:
- Full coverage of tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant) based on the prevailing cost of the degree programme for Singapore Citizens
- Living allowance of S$6,500 per annum
- One-time computer allowance of S$2,000
- One-time Overseas exposure grant of S$8,000
Terms and Conditions of Award
- The scholarship is tenable for the normal duration of your full-time undergraduate course at SIT.
- Scholars may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance.
- The scholarship will be monitored and renewed every trimester provided the scholar maintains a CGPA of at least 3.5 (or equivalent) and good conduct.
- If the scholar decides to withdraw from the University and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, the University reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed to the scholar.
Admissions
Application & Shortlisting Process
- Applicants will need to complete and submit the online application form after uploading all required supporting documents through the Admissions application portal by the given deadline. Within the online application, highlight your drive and enthusiasm for Sustainability. Applicants will be assessed on their suitability for the scholarship, as part of the admissions process.
- Candidates who wish to be considered should include all recent Awards Achievements, Co-curricular Activities and Community Service records as part of Admissions application.
- Candidates who are shortlisted need to submit a 3 min video demonstrating passion in the area of sustainability as well as a personal vision and goal.
- Selection interviews will be between February to May. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for an interview via e-mail. Please ensure that you are available to attend the interviews in order to be considered for the award/scholarship. Your application will be withdrawn if you are unable to attend any scheduled selection interview(s) without valid reason(s).
- Candidates that are not shortlisted will not receive any e-mail communication.
- SIT reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
