BISTM is a 180-credit direct honours degree comprising four key components to build strong foundations in both technology and management for modern business leadership, while enabling you to apply these competencies in real-world settings.
You will progress towards the degree by stacking micro-credentials that develop domain expertise across technology, management, with specialisation in Supply Chain.
Learners may accelerate progress through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), where relevant work experience and certifications can count toward credit requirements.

BISTM is offered with a specialisation in Supply Chain.
As supply chains transform rapidly through automation, data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, sustainability requirements and integrated planning, this specialisation is designed for both business and engineering professionals in logistics, retail, warehousing, transportation, distribution, and adjacent sectors. It is ideal for in-employment individuals who are looking to build technology-enabled supply chain expertise while preparing for supervisory and management roles.
This specialisation equips you to lead in the future supply chain landscape by bridging:

Eligibility
To be considered for this degree pathway, individuals must fulfil the following criteria:
- Be at least 21 years of age; and
- Is currently employed; and
- Has relevant work experience in industry or profession, or a diploma in a relevant field of study is required, namely:
- Work experience in the logistic, warehousing or adjacent sector; or
- Work experience in supply chain capacity in other sectors; or
- Possess a diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or other relevant field of studies

How does stacking to a degree work?
Our BISTM degree offers a modular and stackable structure consisting of:
- Technology Major micro-credentials (min. 36 credits)
- Management Major micro-credentials (min. 36 credits)
- Elective micro-credentials and/or modules (up to 54 credits)
- Workforce Essentials (20 credits)
- Critical Core Skills Foundations (24 credits)
- Capstone Project (10 credits)
Relevant micro-credentials and modules that you obtain can be stacked progressively to complete this degree.In addition to credits you attain in the programme, your pathway to a degree will also take into account other prior learning such as industry certifications or competencies acquired from work, which will provide you with credit or exemptions via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Do I need to take micro-credentials and modules in a particular order?
Although we provide a recommended study pathway for the degree programme, you are not required to take micro-credentials and modules in a prescribed order. SIT will state the recommended baseline competencies that an individual should have before embarking on an Essential micro-credential.

How long does it take to complete one micro-credential?
It takes one trimester (3+ months) to complete a micro-credential.

If I already possess industry certifications or relevant work experience, will these be taken into account during the application process?
Yes. In addition to SIT’s micro-credentials, your application will also take into account other prior learning, such as industry certifications or competencies acquired from work, providing you with credit or exemptions.

Is there a time frame to complete the degree?
You would need to complete your degree within 5 years. If you have completed individual micro-credentials offered by SITLEARN, each micro-credential is valid for 5 years when used for admission into the degree.

SIT regularly reviews its curriculum to ensure that it remains industry relevant. We offer a wide range of elective micro-credentials and modules learner can choose from; we are also looking to expand the list of micro-credentials.

What is the structure of micro-credentials?
Micro-credentials are largely taught asynchronously (i.e. self-paced) and live online, with occasional in-campus sessions. This gives you the flexibility to learn whenever and wherever you choose.
While each micro-credential combines self-paced online, live online and in-person delivery, the learning activities vary for each micro-credential.

Success coaches will work with you to develop a personalised learning plan. They will provide you with various resources and support services to help you navigate your learning journey.
