The inaugural SIT Charity Golf 2026 raised a total of $900,000 – supported by matching contributions from the Government and Singapore Tote Board – with 100% of the proceeds going toward the newly established SIT Global Mobility Grant. This fund will reduce financial barriers for students from less privileged backgrounds, enabling them to participate in short-term overseas academic experiences that broaden their perspectives and enhance their career-readiness.

Global exposure is an increasingly important part of our youths’ learning journeys. Our Global Mobility Programmes provide valuable learning opportunities, equipping our students with adaptability, global awareness and skills that are increasingly valued by employers in a competitive job market.
- Professor Chua Kee Chaing, SIT President

Global exposure is a cornerstone of SIT’s applied learning pedagogy as it builds adaptability and develop global competencies for an increasingly interconnected world. The University aims for 70 per cent of its students to participate in Global Mobility Programmes annually by 2030. These programmes are supported by more than 140 university and industry partners across 23 countries, ensuring a diverse range of overseas learning pathways for SIT students.

Held on 14 January 2026 at Laguna National Golf Resort Club, the inaugural SIT Charity Golf brought together donors, partners and members of the SIT community in a shared effort to expand learning opportunities for students. Nearly 300 guests attended the SIT Charity Golf Dinner, which was also graced by Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Trade and Industry, and Grassroots Advisor, Punggol GRC – all united in their shared commitment to supporting student development.

For some students, this is their first opportunity to travel overseas. This new grant provides essential support to help needy students cover living expenses as they learn, grow and develop through their overseas academic pursuits.
- Associate Professor Tsoi Mun Heng, Chairman, SIT Charity Golf 2026 Fundraising and Organising Committee

SIT extends its heartfelt appreciation to all donors, sponsors and supporters whose generosity made the inaugural SIT Charity Golf a meaningful success. Their collective support opens doors to transformative overseas opportunities that may otherwise remain beyond reach for many students.
