Close to 80 Graduating SITizens Kick Off Class Giving 2023

Inspired by the previous graduating cohort, this year’s graduation class launched Class Giving 2023 on 15 March 2023, with the aim of strengthening the new giving tradition that was pioneered by the Class of 2022.

The annual Class Giving fundraising drive supports the SIT Bursary, one of the most accessible financial aid instruments at SIT for financially disadvantaged students. Valued at $3,000 each, the bursary will help recipients cover some of their tuition fees and living expenses.

Close to 80 SITizens from the Class of 2023 are volunteering as Class Champions this year, lending their voices to call on their peers to come forward and make a difference. The call, “$23 for 2023”, appeals to the graduating class to make a gift to commemorate their graduation year. As of late May, they have already managed to encourage more than 140 donors to make a gift. Their efforts are still ongoing, and with every gift received, the collective giving by Class of 2023 will send the powerful message that SITizens support their own.
