Associate Professor Ng Bor Kiat brings with him close to 40 years of industry experiences and extensive involvements in research and development, system management, maintenance engineering and project management. He was previously the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at SMRT, Chief Maintenance & Engineering Officer of the Singapore Armed Forces and a Consultant to NUS Temasek Systems Institute. Bor Kiat holds a Master’s degree in Military Vehicle Technology from Cranfield Institute of Technology (UK) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan). He is a Chartered Engineer in Railway and Transportation Engineering and a Chartered Engineer in Systems Engineering conferred by the Institution of Engineers Singapore. He attended the Programme for Management Development Programme at Harvard University.

Dr. Liew Pak San is an Associate Professor of the Engineering Cluster at Singapore Institute of Technology. He teaches and facilitates learning for the Systems Engineering programme. Dr. Liew obtained his PhD in Design Computation from the University of Sydney. His research and teaching interests include Agile Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, Project Management, Cognitive-Based Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems and AI Robotics. Dr. Liew started his career as a Mechanical Engineer before moving into the area of Software Development. Subsequently, he integrated Computer-Aided Design, Hardware Development and AI to develop AI Robotics systems. Dr. Liew system development experience span from the development of computer-aided design interfaces for Singapore’s BCA’s automated building plans and services checking system to virtual reality systems that integrates hardware and software sub-systems for simulations. Dr. Liew is a certified adult learner trainer (WSQ-ACTA). He has been consulted for Systems Engineering training and competency framework development for the Singapore’s Industry Transformation Maps, SMRTi, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and PSA International.
