This course will provide learners with an overview of the key concepts and knowledge of cybersecurity. 

You will learn about information security, information warfare, and how hackers exploit the vulnerable aspects of the system to gain access to them. With growing network connectivity, cyber security is imperative in combating the constant threat posed by theft and damage of online data.

  • This course is suitable for mid-career IT professionals with no formal training in cybersecurity

What You Will Learn

Fundamental information of security concepts, definitions and principles

  • Covers common information security glossary from reputable standards such as ISACA, ISO, etc. Examples of glossary are CIA, non-repudiation, segregation of duties, events, incidents, threats, vulnerabilities, etc

Various information on security standards, frameworks, guidelines, laws and regulations

  • Covers Singapore laws such as PDPA, CMCA, Cybersecurity Bill, MAS TRM, etc

Basic information security threats, vulnerabilities, attacks, incidents and operations
