This support is available for up to 6 months from the end of the programme, helping you transition into a new role or career path.

Note:
* SIT will aid career advisory and connect trainees to government agencies and its relevant employers in their search for relevant jobs. However, SIT cannot guarantee job placements at the end of the programme even though SIT will make an effort to support trainees in their job search.

All SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes at SITLEARN are subsidised and funded for eligible learners. 

Here are the support available:

    Course Fee Funding From The Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA)

    If you're a self-sponsored learner (unemployed or employed), aged 21 and above, you are eligible for the following course fee subsidies:

    You can use your available SkillsFuture Credit and Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) to offset out-of-pocket nett course fees.

    SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance (Full-Time)

    If you're a Singapore Citizen aged 40 and above, and enrolled in an SCTP starting from 1 April 2025: 

    • Receive 50% of your average monthly income over the latest available 12-month period, capped at S$3,000 per month
    • Available for up to 24 months over your lifetime
    • Use the Training Allowance Calculator to estimate your eligible training allowance.


    Please note that your funding eligibility will be further assessed by our SITLEARN admission committee upon your application.

    Who qualifies for 95% course fee subsidy?

    You may be eligible if you fall into one of these categories:

    • Long-term unemployed
    • Persons with disabilities
    • Individuals receiving ComCare SMTA or Workfare Income Supplement (WIS)

    Who are these programmes for?

    Our SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes aim to support mid-career professionals who are looking to switch careers, strengthen their career prospects, or explore entrepreneurship.

    Whether you're pivoting into growth sectors/fields, upgrading your skills for better opportunities, or starting your own business, these programmes provide industry-relevant training, career preparation, peer community and mentorship network to support you in achieving your goals.

    Do I need a specific background to join?

    Minimum entry requirements, usually in the form of transferrable skillset, vary by programmes.

    Our Programme Advisor will review your background and motivation upon your application to access your fit.

    What’s the enrolment process like?

    After you’ve registered your interest for our SCTP, you’ll receive a link to take the next step in application by completing the Pre-assessment Enrolment form. You will also be invited to submit supporting documents.

    To set you up for success, our Programme Advisory Team will review your background and motivations to ensure that the programme is a good fit for you. They may also be in touch for a call with you to better understand your goals.

    Once accepted, you’ll receive details for programme registration and funding application to begin your SCTP journey with us.

    What is the learning format — is it fully online?

    Most programmes are delivered through a combination of online live on weekdays and in-person sessions on weekends.

    This means you’ll benefit from the convenience of live online classes right at home, alongside hands-on workshops, and in-person engagements in classroom format.

    Our programmes are designed to strike a balance between one’s busy lifestyle while offering the structure, support, and peer interactions that make learning more effective.

    What kind of support will I receive during the programme?

    You’ll receive hands-on skills training, career preparation, peer community and mentorship from industry practitioners.

    Most programmes also include working on a capstone project to help you build a portfolio that demonstrates your newly built capabilities.

    How much do the programmes cost?

    While course fees vary by programme, most learners may pay a small fraction of the full cost due to the SkillsFuture funding available to them. 

    Depending on your eligibility, you may enjoy one of the following subsidies:

    What if I turn 40 years old in the middle of the programme?

    If you turn 40 years old during the programme, you will become eligible for the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy from the month you turn 40 years old.

    This subsidy can cover up to 90% of course fees. A pro-rated amount of subsidy will be calculated by SkillsFuture Singapore.

    Is there financial support while I’m training?

    If you're a Singapore Citizen aged 40 and above, you may be eligible to receive  the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance (Full-Time) of up to S$3,000/month,  

    Your application for the training allowance will be subject to approval by SkillsFuture upon application, and will be paid out to you by SkillsFuture on a monthly basis.
