Dr. Yong Hsin Ning is an educator, adviser, and innovation strategist with nearly 30 years’ experience spanning corporate, entrepreneurial, and academic settings. Her 15-year career in management consulting with Accenture Singapore shaped her ability to help organisations navigate complex transformation — a foundation that now informs her work with smaller, purpose-driven ventures.
Having founded her own consulting practice, Dr Yong now focuses on helping SME owners and start-up founders design businesses that are both meaningful and sustainable. She works at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and personal purpose — guiding entrepreneurs to create growth models that align with their values, resources, and life stage.
As an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), she teaches innovation and entrepreneurship, drawing on local SME and founder stories to show how small, value-led ventures can thrive within broader ecosystems. At the Singapore Management University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business, she teaches courses on entrepreneurship and business model design, where students work with real-world companies to identify opportunities for innovation and impact.
Dr Yong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, a Master of Commerce (Organisation and Management Studies) from the University of New South Wales, and a PhD in General Management from Singapore Management University. Her PhD research centred on the decision-making processes of part-time knowledge workers.
