Earn Your Specialist Certificate
Complete the micro-credential and receive your SIT Specialist Certificate. Add it to LinkedIn and your CV immediately. The 18 credits you earned remain valid for 6 years — stack them toward a full degree whenever you're ready.
These micro-credentials count toward a full degree qualification from SIT — BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or BEng (Hons) in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. You don't have to commit now, your credits are valid for 6 years.

Do I have to commit to the full degree when I enrol?
No. Each micro-credential is completely standalone. You enrol one module at a time, earn your Specialist Certificate, and decide whether to continue. There's no obligation to pursue the degree — but your credits stay valid for 5 years if you change your mind.

How much SkillsFuture funding can I get?
Eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs can receive up to 90% subsidy on tuition fees for up to 6 micro-credentials (120 credits) within the programme. Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above may qualify for the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy. Enquire with us for a personalised funding assessment.

What is the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance (Part-time) and am I eligible?
The SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance (Part-time) — or MCTA (PT) — is a monthly cash allowance of $300 paid to eligible Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above who are in employment and enrolled in approved part-time long-form training. It is designed to help defray incidental costs such as transport and study materials while you continue working. All SIT CSM Applied Computing micro-credentials are eligible for MCTA (Part-time), subject to SkillsFuture Singapore's approval upon the learner's individual application. There is a shared lifetime cap of 24 months across both full-time and part-time MCTA. The scheme is available from 1 March 2026, with applications open from 9 February 2026.

What are the entry requirements for a single micro-credential?
The minimum entry requirements differs by micro-credential topics. Learners are requirement to have relevant polytechnic backgrounds, and fundamental knowledge in engineering concepts, mathematics and physics. Contact us and we'll check your eligibility at no obligation.

How much study time does each micro-credential take per week?
Most of the learning is self-paced online content where you access on your schedule. There are some live online sessions on Zoom, and in-person sessions at SIT Punggol Campus. The typical weekly commitment is designed to be manageable alongside a full-time job. Exact hours vary by micro-credential.

If I complete micro-credential now, how long do I have to stack them into a degree?
Each completed micro-credential remains valid for stacking toward the degree for 6 years from the date of completion. So even if you're not thinking about a degree right now, you're not losing anything by starting with a single micro-credential today.
