About Course
Generative AI's move from experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment gives organisations the opportunity to scale AI initiatives with structured governance rather than ad hoc oversight. Established frameworks such as ISO/IEC 42001, the EU AI Act, Singapore's Model AI Governance Framework for Generative AI, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework now give leaders a practical basis for building trust, accountability, and evidence into AI adoption from the outset.
This course is the fifth in a six-part Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer and Generative Artificial Intelligence Leadership executive development series, and can be taken independently of the other five.
Learners will be equipped with the frameworks to design governance, risk, and assurance structures for responsible AI transformation.
This course is structured around seven core topics:
How AI governance, risk, and assurance support responsible innovation and Principled Performance
Key AI governance and regulatory frameworks including ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 5338, ISO/IEC 27701, the EU AI Act, Singapore's Model AI Governance Frameworks, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework
Risk classification using responsible AI principles, EU AI Act risk categories, and NIST AI RMF concepts
AI governance structures such as governance committees, accountability matrices, and escalation pathways
Lifecycle assurance thinking covering evidence, testing, monitoring, and auditability
Privacy, security, and ethical issues in AI systems and GenAI-enabled workflows
Developing an AI Governance, Risk and Assurance Framework.
Delivery is classroom-based over two days, combining lecture on frameworks, case study discussion, and hands-on exercises using Straits Interactive's no-code GenAI platform, Capabara.
This course is developed in partnership with Straits Interactive, a leading edtech company committed to enabling organisations to thrive in a business landscape defined by Generative AI.
