FAQS

Commonly Asked Questions

  1. chevron--up
Do I have to commit to the full degree when I enrol?

No. Each micro-credential is completely standalone. You enrol one module at a time, earn your Specialist Certificate, and decide whether to continue. There's no obligation to pursue the degree — but your credits stay valid for 5 years if you change your mind.

  2. chevron--up
How much SkillsFuture funding can I get?

Eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs can receive up to 90% subsidy on tuition fees for up to 5 micro-credentials (90 credits) within the programme. Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above may qualify for the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy. Enquire with us for a personalised funding assessment.

  3. chevron--up
What is the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance (Part-time) and am I eligible?

The SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance (Part-time) — or MCTA (PT) — is a monthly cash allowance of $300 paid to eligible Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above who are in employment and enrolled in approved part-time long-form training. It is designed to help defray incidental costs such as transport and study materials while you continue working. All SIT CSM Applied Computing micro-credentials are eligible for MCTA (Part-time), subject to SkillsFuture Singapore's approval upon the learner's individual application. There is a shared lifetime cap of 24 months across both full-time and part-time MCTA. The scheme is available from 1 March 2026, with applications open from 9 February 2026.
