This project aims to design and fabricate customised total contact insoles with embedded sensors that measure direct and shear plantar pressures to improve patient outcomes in diabetic foot ulcers.

 

A prototype sensor insole featuring a blue silicone base with embedded pressure sensors, connected via wiring to a small microcontroller circuit board, sitting next to a white medical brace.
