Overview
The petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries have long been a key driver of Singapore's economy. These industries rely heavily on chemical engineering expertise to develop, design, and optimise complex processes that enable the production of high-value products.
The SIT Postgraduate Certificate in Chemical Engineering (PGCert CE) is designed for chemical engineers seeking career advancement in specialist or management tracks, or for mid-career individuals switching to Chemical Engineering.
The modules can be taken individually or stack towards a PGCert CE, and are each worth 6 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits.
Modules Available
Modules are stackable towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Chemical Engineering. They can also be taken individually.
Candidates will be awarded an PGCert CE if they pass 4 modules totalling 24 credits with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of ≥ 2.5.
This qualification signifies that the candidate has achieved competency in at least four advanced coursework modules in Chemical Engineering.
The PGCert CE is also stackable to the SIT’s Master of Science in Chemical Engineering if they complete 6 core modules and 4 elective modules amounting to the required 60 credits.
Prerequisites
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- At least one year of relevant working experience
