Overview

Due to advancements in medical technology and treatment protocols, there is a growing need for trained nurse professionals who can navigate the complexities of transplant care.

The SIT Graduate Qualifications in Organ Transplant Nursing is designed with a clinical focus to equip nurses with essential skills and knowledge for managing organ transplantation.

There will be emphasis on protection, promotion, and optimisation of health for both transplant recipients and living donors during the peri-transplant and post-transplant phases.

Learners will gain expertise in the rehabilitation needs of post-transplant patients, collaborate effectively with allied health professionals, and manage the daily activities of organ recipients in community settings.

Each module, worth 6 credits, can be taken individually or stack towards a Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Organ Transplant Nursing (GCert/GDip Organ Tx Nursing) and progress toward earning a Masters of Health Sciences degree.
