About Course
AI agents can now act on their own initiative, calling tools, transacting with third parties and carrying work through a process without a person signing off at each step. This opens a new area of practice for legal and compliance teams. Questions of authority, liability attribution, data handling and IP ownership are now settled at the point a system is procured or deployed, which places legal counsel at the centre of how organisations adopt the technology.
This course addresses that gap for legal professionals who review or support agreements involving agentic AI, whether in-house, in private practice, or in a legal operations or procurement function. It assumes no coding, AI engineering or data science background.
Over two days, learners work through how agentic systems change contracting and how liability can be allocated across deployer, platform provider and model provider. They examine where IP and data protection exposure arises, and run a structured regulatory horizon scan across Singapore and international jurisdictions.
The course opens with a condensed grounding in how agentic systems are architected, governed and costed, so that legal judgement rests on an accurate reading of the technology. It closes with a contract clause workshop in which learners draft and amend language addressing agentic-specific authority and liability.
Delivery is classroom-based, built around scenario discussion, worked examples and a hands-on clause drafting session.

- Assess gaps in contract language where standard software and services clauses fall short of agentic-specific risk
- Allocate liability across the supply chain between deployer, platform provider and model provider
- Assess IP and data protection exposure created by agentic deployments, including training data, generated outputs and third-party interactions
- Run a structured regulatory horizon scan across Singapore and international jurisdictions
- Translate regulatory obligations into governance requirements that internal teams can apply
- Design an AI-assisted legal review workflow that raises throughput without creating unmanaged risk
