The recent spate of electrical incidents, leading to the loss of lives and property, has raised significant concerns among the general public, regulatory agencies, and industry practitioners.

This course aims to equip you with a comprehensive understanding of the potential hazards posed to both individuals and equipment within the electrical environments found in power supply utilities, industrial settings, and commercial installations. The course will delve into the methods and operational procedures aimed at mitigating the risks associated with electrical accidents.

Upon completion of this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to identify electrical hazards effectively and implement measures for their removal or reduction. This includes addressing risks related to personal injuries, electrical fires, arc flash, and arc blast hazards. Fire hazards from new energy sources, such as PV installations and battery energy storage systems, will also be covered.
