Enabling the SIT Punggol Campus as a real-life living lab for supporting innovation, experimentation and applied research in a flexible and secured matter without disrupting existing operations.

A circular architecture diagram of a "Living Lab" ecosystem. It moves from left to right, showing "Data Sources" (such as IoT sensors and external partners) integrating with "Living Lab Platforms" (the Living Lab Network and Living Lab OS), which ultimately connect to the central "Virtual Campus."

A slide titled "Examples of previous projects at SIT@NYP Living Lab," presenting four categories: 1) Energy Living Lab, featuring a DC Picogrid for data centers; 2) Robotics, showing autonomous robots performing point-cloud scanning; 3) Cybersecurity, documenting a Bug Bounty Programme for operational building systems; and 4) Blockchain, demonstrating the use of smart contracts and tokens in the Virtual SIT metaverse.

  • Living Lab Network (LLN) – ~$8million infrastructure covering SIT Punggol Campus Court building with over 600 wireless access points
  • SIT Virtual Campus (UniverseSITy) - ~$2million virtual campus engine that is jointly developed by SIT and Digipen
  • Multi-Energy Microgrid – Over $10million to build Southeast Asia's first Multi-Energy Microgrid and selected data can be shared through the Heterogenous Infostore for Training and Skilling (HITS) datalake
