The team developed a system that combines a web application for streamlining audit engagement monitoring and a mobile app for staff training monitoring.

Audit firms face operational challenges that lead to increased administrative burden and potential compliance risks. The system evolves to incorporate generative AI to enhance knowledge retrieval for audit-related queries.

 Project Deliverables/Outcomes/Impact:

  • Deployed audit engagement system with RAG audit chatbot, enabling the audit firm to achieve cost-effectively significant improvement in the workflow
  • Academic paper “Digitalisation in Audit: Development of Systems for Engagement, Training Monitoring, and a RAG-Augmented Chatbot” submitted to peer-reviewed conference IEEE SOLI 2025

From there, secure connections flow to Docker containers running an ASP.NET Core Web API and Web App. These applications communicate with an Amazon RDS Microsoft SQL Server database and an Amazon S3 storage bucket.
