The project aims to design and implement a VR-based air traffic control training platform that would significantly improve and optimise the training of Air Traffic Controllers.

 Specific objectives include:
  • Design and develop a scalable air traffic control simulation engine that supports dynamic configuration of training procedures and scenarios that leads to individualised learning
  • Design and develop a multi-model training system that supports instructor-guided multi-player training and self-paced independent learning
  • Design and implement an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) that supports analytical performance models to provide an objective assessment of learned skills
