The built environment sector plays a critical role in shaping Singapore's physical environment and infrastructure, from the construction of new buildings and infrastructure to the maintenance and upgrading of existing ones.
The SIT Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Building Systems and Facility Management is designed to address industry needs to reskill, deep skill and upskill industry professionals in building services engineering.
Each module, worth 6 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits, can be taken individually or stack towards a Graduate Certificate and progress toward earning a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSc MEC).

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- At least one year of post bachelor’s working experience in a related field.

Certificate and Assessment
A Certificate of Attainment for each module will be issued to candidates who:
- Attend at least 75% of each module, and
- Undertake and pass credit-bearing assessment during the module
- Participants will be awarded a Graduate Certificate if they complete all three modules (totalling 18 credits) with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0
- The Graduate Certificate is stackable towards SIT’s Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSc MEC), and candidates who attain a CGPA of 2.5 or above may apply for transfer to the MSc MEC programme
Participants who meet the attendance requirement but do not pass the assessment will receive a Certificate of Participation.
