Course Overview
This workshop focuses on the knowledge and skills supporting occupational therapy practice for cognitive-perceptual issues seen in persons with a range of neurological and psychiatric conditions.
It is also a continuation of the two-day inter-professional primer on cognitive rehabilitation.
The workshop aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills in occupational therapy centric cognitive-perceptual assessments, problem identification, goal setting, and intervention plans.
Additionally providing you with the necessary knowledge and skills in various areas related to cognitive and perceptual dysfunctions. These areas include occupation-focused models and approaches, assessments for cognitive and perceptual problems, problem identification and goal setting, and intervention strategies and plans.
Who Should Attend
- Occupational therapists that are working or will work with adults with cognitive perceptual problems
Prerequisites
- AHPC registered occupational therapist and participants who completed the course "Inter-professional Workshop on Cognitive Rehabilitation for Persons with Cognitive-Perceptual Dysfunction"

Certificate and Assessment
A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who
- Attend at least 75% of the course
- Undertake and pass non-credit bearing assessment during the course
Assessment Plan
Assessment Type: MCQ and Reflection Questions
Duration: 30 minutes
Weightage: 100%
Description: The questions will assess participants’ understanding of the workshop contents. Participants will also demonstrate ability to consolidate clinical knowledge with application principles, through case reflection.
Justification: Throughout the workshop, participants will be asked to prepare cases on the application of an assessment or intervention method. This summative assessment will enable participants to consolidate their knowledge and skills, through testing workshop contents and reflecting on the cases presented.
