About Course
In this module, learners will understand the fundamental lighting principals in the context of performance-based building design and diagnostics.
Learners will acquire detail knowledge on relevant aspects of lighting physics that affect the physiological and psychological experience of buildings, performance metrics, design and benchmarking methodologies, and contemporary simulation tools. The first-hand case studies in lighting design, technologies, and project management will also be delivered by the experienced experts in the lighting industry. Learners will apply the knowledge acquired to their lighting design project assignment. Student's progress shall be assessed through Continuous Assessment, final design project presentation, final report and design poster, and final examination.
This module is part of an updated learning pathway stackable towards a Graduate Certificate in Integrated Building Design and Management and Facility Management and SIT’s Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
