About the Course
As sustainability reporting and climate-related disclosures become increasingly important, organisations are under growing pressure to measure, manage, and communicate their environmental impact in a structured and credible way. Professionals who can bridge sustainability reporting with carbon accounting play a critical role in supporting regulatory compliance and informed decision-making.
This course provides a practical foundation in sustainability reporting and carbon accounting, with a focus on how these concepts apply within the Singapore regulatory landscape.
Day 1 focuses on building foundational knowledge of global sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, with emphasis on Singapore’s reporting landscape, including SGX’s sustainability reporting requirements, SGX Core ESG Metrics, and IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
Day 2 introduces the principles of carbon accounting. Participants will learn how to calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, define organisational boundaries, and understand key drivers of carbon footprints. The day also covers carbon management concepts and the development of decarbonisation target aligned with the Singapore Green Plan 2030.
Day 3 covers carbon emissions reduction strategies, including mitigation approaches, carbon pricing, and offsets. Participants will also be introduced to key reporting frameworks such as the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064, alongside developments in Singapore’s transition towards a low-carbon economy.
This course is supported and endorsed by CPA Australia.
