PDU (PEB) – Pending approval
Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) evaluates the performance and efficiency of systems, equipment, and facilities, aiding decision-making to enhance system availability by estimating system utility availability.
RAM analysis applies to systems and facilities of diverse types and sizes across industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, nuclear, process, and manufacturing. It optimises life cycle costs by reducing maintenance costs, lost production, and operational expenses to boost the productivity and profitability of a project.
This course introduces RAM theory and explores the differences and interconnections between reliability, availability and maintainability. Learners will delve into the benefits and limitations of RAM and the influence of failure characteristics on the maintenance strategy alongside basic system reliability models.
Learners will also understand the application of RAM techniques in the early project phase that allows organisations to identify deviations from targets and propose practical solutions, resulting in significant improvements in reliability, availability and maintainability.
