What’s the Problem? An e-learning Package to Improve Clinical Reasoning in Neurological Physiotherapy

Grant Name
Applied Learning and Innovation Grant (ALIGN)

Abstract

Being able to accurately identify the problem lists (i.e., impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions) for people with neurological conditions, propose targeted interventions, and adjust them accordingly for the person’s ability are basic physiotherapy competencies expected at the undergraduate level. At present, there is limited opportunity for undergraduate physiotherapy students to practice this independently and receive feedback to refine their ability. This project aims to create an e-learning package of interactive simulations with case studies, including questions related to problem lists and interventions, to facilitate independent practice.
