Immersive training for bioreactor operations

Grant Name
SIT Advancement for Learning and Teaching (SALT)

Abstract

The project aims to create immersive virtual reality (VR) training sessions on three different bioreactor systems that students can use to learn how to set up and operate bioreactors. The training materials can be played on a variety of devices, including head-mounted VR devices, and on conventional devices such as personal computers, laptops and mobile phones.

It is envisioned that students taking the molecular biology and fermentation laboratory course can experience immersive BR bioreactor training before the commencement of the laboratory classes.
