We collaborate with academic staff to advance teaching and learning excellence. Through the coordination of grants, awards, and teaching and learning initiatives, we enable and empower academic staff to enhance their educational practice and drive innovation.
Grants and Awards
Applied Learning and Innovation Grant (ALIGN)
Internal grant by STLA to promote effective applied learning, adoption of education technology and innovation for teaching and learning at SIT. All SIT academic staff are eligible to apply for funding of up to S$40,000 for a duration of up to 18 months.

SIT Fellowship
The SIT Fellowship (Education) supports academic staff in their journey to become thought leaders in teaching and learning. It provides protected time and dedicated funding for Fellows to deepen their expertise and pursue educational research or initiatives.

Teaching Excellence Award (TEA)
TEA recognises and rewards academic staff who have made a significant contribution to learning in SIT. The award is open to all SIT academic staff who have taught in a SIT degree programme, or a joint degree programme, or an overseas university programme.

Student Developer Award (SDA)
SDA recognises and celebrates full-time non-academic staff who have directly contributed to the learning experiences of our students, which resulted in the development and growth in their journey at the University. The award is open to full-time non-academic staff at SIT who have direct interaction with students in the course of their work.

Applied Learning Conference
SIT’s flagship conference showcases best practices and innovations in Applied Learning and Competency-Based Education (CBE) across diverse disciplines and industries. Through ALC, SIT brings together international and local experts to advance the evolving discourse on Applied Learning and CBE.
