Mr Gerry Wee Hwee Joon

Mr Gerry Wee oversees both campus development and facilities management in SIT. He led the development of SIT’s smart and sustainable campus in Punggol Town, beginning with master planning of the campus in 2014, right through construction and its completion in 2024. Prior to Punggol Campus, he led in the development of SIT’s satellite campuses in each of the 5 Polytechnics in Singapore and refurbishment of a holding campus in Dover.
Mr Wee has more than 35 years in consultancy, project management and facilities management. He has been involved in master planning and project management of large-scale developments and campuses such as the Batam Industrial Park, Changi Naval Base, the Nanyang Technological University Campus and the Institute of Mental Health. His experience in overseas projects includes developing chanceries and residences in Riyadh, New Delhi and Phnom Penh for the Singapore government.
Mr Wee holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Singapore and is a Registered Architect with the Board of Architects. He currently sits on the tender board of the National Kidney Foundation, a non-profit health organisation.

Assoc. Prof. Wang Zhengkui Daniel

A/Prof Daniel Wang Zhengkui is the Director of both the SIT x NVIDIA AI Center and the Data Science & AI Lab at the Singapore Institute of Technology. A leading expert in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, his work focuses on foundational AI models, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), natural language processing (NLP), and imaging technologies.
A/Prof Wang has spearheaded numerous high-impact collaborations with industry partners, driving the translation of advanced AI research into practical, real-world solutions. He has authored over 80 publications in top-tier venues including AAAI, IJCAI, NeurIPS, SIGMOD, ICDE, SIGKDD, FSE, TPAMI, and TKDE. His research excellence has been recognised through several awards, including the Best Paper Award at ICPR 2022, the Digital Initiative Award (2022), the Economy Drive Award (2022), and Best Paper Presentation at ACCC 2021, among others.

Dr Peck Thian Guan
Deputy Chief Risk Officer
National University of Singapore
Dr Peck Thian Guan is the Deputy Chief Risk Officer at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is responsible for managing a range of operational risks at the university, including safety and health, technology risks, and other emerging risk areas.
Prior to his current role, Dr Peck served as Senior Director of Safety, Health and Environment, as well as Crisis & Emergency Management Director at NUS from 2004 to 2023.
Dr Peck is active in both national and international committees related to safety and health management. He was the Chairman of the Singapore Workplace Safety & Health Council’s Working Group on Safety & Health for the Higher Education and Research (HER) Sector from 2014 to 2020, and again from 2022 to 2024. He participates actively in developing national and international standards. He currently serves as Co-Chairman of Singapore’s Working Group on Occupational Safety & Health Management System. He represents Singapore in the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) technical committee that develops the ISO 45000 series of standards for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Dr Peck is a Resident Fellow at Sheares Hall, a student residential facility at NUS. In this role, he mentors and supports students, working with the Hall Master and other Residential Fellows to enhance student life on campus. Dr Peck holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honours and a Master’s degree in Chemistry from NUS. He was awarded a Singapore Government scholarship to pursue his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Hull, UK.

Prof Yoshiko Tsuji
Environmental Science Center

Professor Yoshiko Tsuji conducts research on the nano- to micro-scale structural control of functional thin films and their applications in information and energy devices. Her work also explores the foundational principles of environmental safety in R&D settings, where technology and human factors are closely intertwined.
Currently, she is taking on the ambitious challenge of envisioning a sustainable future society and identifying key solutions through collaboration with local industries and communities—all in pursuit of achieving a carbon-neutral society by 2050.
She also serves as Chair of the Committee for Carbon Neutral Innovation through Regional Collaboration at the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan.

Prof Yoshito Oshima
Division of Environmental Studies

Prof Yoshito Oshima has led efforts in environmental and safety management at the University of Tokyo. He has developed and implemented rational, context-specific strategies for managing and educating on safety, tailored to the unique needs of academic institutions. His research centers on laboratory safety modelling, using operational data to lay the foundation for a new academic discipline in environmental safety.
Beyond his university work, Prof Oshima plays a key role in strengthening environmental safety standards across Japanese higher education. He serves as President of the NPO "Research for Environment, Health and Safety Education (REHSE)" and Chairman of the Academic Consociation of Environmental Safety and Waste Management, Japan.

Assoc. Prof. Pathak Abhay Vijay

Nanyang Technological University
Associate Professor Abhay Pathak is an Associate Professor of Practice in Sustainability at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He also serves as an Assessor with the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC), Enterprise Singapore, focusing on the accreditation of management system certification schemes aligned with ISO standards.
With over three decades of corporate experience, A/Prof Pathak has been a pioneer in driving sustainability across global operations. He has shaped and implemented sustainability strategies across the full value chain, right from policy/strategy to practice covering entire value chain from R&D, sourcing, manufacturing to end-of-life of products.
Before joining NTU, he was Senior Director of Sustainability at HWASEUNG Enterprise, a South Korean manufacturing firm with over 25 operations in Vietnam, Indonesia, and China. Prior to that, he held key sustainability and EHS leadership roles at Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto in India.

Ms Ann Tey Siow Fong

Ms Ann Tey began her career as a Database Administrator (DBA) and has since expanded her expertise into Data Management, AI Governance, and Cloud Data Infrastructure. A results-driven leader with over 26 years of experience, she has managed complex database operations across the education sector as well as the public and private banking industries.
She currently leads the Data Services Team at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, a research-intensive public university, where she plays a key role in advancing data infrastructure and governance initiatives.
